Hear real case studies from society members in the field

Naturalist journals for sketching and notes
Sculpture of known species
Each hands-on activity is designed to spark creativity, build observation skills, and encourage respect for the natural (and magical) world.
At the end of the week, all campers will participate in the Grand Oath Gathering—a special ceremony where they’ll take the Sacred Oath and may become full members of one of the two magical societies.

2025 Dirt Days!
Dates: August 18, 19, & 20Time: 9:30 AM – 2:30 PM dailyLocation: Myer's Riverview TrailAges: 7-12 and 3-6
A Wildwood Send-Off 🌲
Before the bell rings and the desks beckon, let your kids go full feral at Dirt Days—a 3-day, mud-splattered, stick-building, forest-howling summer send-off for school-age kids (7 to 12) and pre-school and kindergarten-aged kids (3 to 6). Younger kids need to be toilet trained and able to use the bathroom independently. Each day, stories of wild-hearted adventurers and legendary feral kids will spark imagination and guide play, setting the stage for an immersive experience in the woods. Campers will take on creative daily challenges, respond to open-ended building invitations, and spend hours in joyful, muddy, free-range exploration.
They’ll make nature paints, build epic forts, problem-solve in the wild, and howl with their pack one last time before heading back to the classroom.
It’s the final messy, dirty, gloriously playful hurrah of summer—a chance to reconnect with nature, with friends, and with their own untamed spirits.Note to parents: You may want to bring a towel and a change of clothes for pickup... the mud is half the magic.
